NJEDge.Net, the UMDNJ Stuart D. Cook, M.D. Master Educators' Guild and the Informatics Institute of UMDNJ invite NJ faculty to attend the upcoming Annual Faculty Best Practices Showcase: Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning. The program will take place Friday, March 23, 2007, at the Delta Dental Educational Conference Center, Oral Health Pavilion of the UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School, Newark Campus. (There is a $35 fee to attend this Showcase.)
We are delighted to report that the keynote speaker for the Showcase will be Gene Maeroff, Who is senior fellow at the Hechinger Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University
At the Showcase, faculty from throughout New Jersey will present uses of technology and new instructional methodologies in Pre-Kindergarten through Higher Education, post-secondary and healthcare related education. The focus of the showcase is not limited to technology; new pedagogical approaches are also important. Faculty will present a range of new applications and learning activities for face-to-face, hybrid (face-to-face courses using technology) and fully online courses. The goal of the presentations should be to encourage other faculty attendees to employ innovative teaching methods and technologies in their courses.
