NJEDge Apple Ipodcasting Event
Wednesday July 12, 2006 8:30 AM - 12:00 Noon

The iPod sparked a revolution, changing the way we access, collect and listen to music. Now it’s a force on campus, a portable and powerful learning tool that allows anywhere, anytime access to lessons, lectures, presentations and broadcasts.
“Podcasting on Campus” is a FREE half-day seminar that explores the diverse applications of this dynamic solution. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Content experts from Apple will present:
Podcasting Means “Content to Go.”

A podcast is audio or visual content that can be automatically delivered over the Internet or your university’s network via free subscription. Learn how to create and access educational content for listening or viewing on demand from your computer (Mac or PC), laptop or iPod.

Learn how universities are using the iPod and podcasting to enhance curriculum, capture students' attention and provide unprecedented opportunities to deliver and access education content. A podcast’s content can be anything conveyed by an audio or video file -- a recorded lecture, a foreign language lesson, a demonstration of biology principles. See how Apple provides the complete solution for podcasting from creation to distribution and access.

iTunes U. iTunes U is a free, hosted service for colleges and universities that provides easy 24/7 access to your educational content, lectures and interviews. Learn why it is the most powerful way to manage a broad range of audio or video content and distribute it quickly and easily to students, faculty and staff.

Spreading the News. Institutions can support podcasting across their campuses through the Apple Podcasting Server. Educators can then publish their podcast file as an attachment to a weblog, much like attaching a file to an e-mail message. The Apple Podcasting Server lets you easily publish, post and share content via DVD, the Internet, your university’s network, weblogs and more.

It’s content to go. Learn how to use the iPod to create, deliver and access education content.
