This introductory workshop is designed for faculty and administrators who are relatively new to teaching online, those planning to teach with WebCT in the near future, and those interested in exploring WebCT as a course management system. Training will cover the description and function of WebCT tools, how to structure material, designing from the student and faculty perspective, and troubleshooting techniques for finding answers to difficult questions. Pedagogical topics will include student learning styles, good teaching practices, and creating online community. The workshop will also introduce current topics in online learning such as designing for accessibility, academic honesty, learning objects, and intellectual property.

In addition to highlighting our presenters' technology-rich courses, this session will demonstrate web-based technology currently in use in co- and extra-curricular activities, including athletics and chorus!
