The Annual NJEDge.Net Conference is hosting a special dinner event where
Presidents are invited to bring key members of their executive team to explore
the Future of Higher Education. We have crafted a unique program designed
to stimulate critical thinking, explore developing trends and facilitate
planning for institutional resources in these fast-changing times.
Our program will include both Dr. Alan Guskin and Dr Kenneth Green. Dr.
Alan E. Guskin is the Co-Director of the Project on the Future of Higher
Education and President Emeritus of Antioch University. Dr. Guskin will
deliver a thought-provoking presentation on developing models for the future
of undergraduate education that focus on the enhancement of student learning
and the quality of faculty work-life in the context of limited financial
resources.
Dr. Kenneth C. Green is the founder/director
of The Campus Computing Project, the largest continuing study of the role
of information technology in American colleges and universities. The Campus
Computing Project is highly regarded as the definitive source of information
about technology issues and trends affecting higher education. Dr. Green
received the first EDUCAUSE Award for Leadership in Public Policy and Practice
recognizing his prominence in the arena of national and international agendas,
and the linking of higher education to those agendas. Dr. Green will guide
us to where he sees these trends impacting the future of higher education.
This dinner program is an excellent opportunity for todays university
executives who are facing major academic, fiscal, and cultural challenges
in meeting the needs of todays students. Presidents and their senior
staff will have the opportunity to engage in discussion with national experts
and colleagues to gain insight into fast-moving national trends and learn
what others are doing to create a vital campus in a climate of restricted
resources.
This event is by invitation only and open to members of your senior staff
that you wish to attend. Our formal conference begins the following morning
and will include our first CIO summit as a special track. There is no charge
for this evening of dining and open discussion. Any guest wishing to stay
over and attend the main conference can register
through our web site for the two-day conference.
