Biography: Dennis Bone

Dennis Bone began his career with Verizon, formerly New Jersey Bell, in 1979. Dennis was named state president of Verizon New Jersey in 2000 and is responsible for all of Verizon’s corporate interests in New Jersey. Dennis is a graduate of the West Virginia University Institute of Technology with a degree in mathematics. He also holds a master of business administration degree in finance and economics from Rutgers University and a Master of Science degree in counseling from The Johns Hopkins University. He also holds three honorary doctorates. Dennis serves as Chairman of New Jersey Reads. He is on the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the Newark Alliance, the Liberty Science Center, Centenary College and the New Jersey Network Foundation. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Regional Business Partnership, and the New Jersey Utilities Association.
