Biography: Leslie Maltz

Leslie Maltz is currently Deputy VP for IT Planning and Standards at Columbia University. She is responsible for establishing policies, standards, procedures and infrastructure necessary to support the information needs of the University including the security and privacy of information resources. Her position also includes providing vision, leadership and strategic direction for the planning and use of information systems and technology in support of Columbia’s vision and core values. Leslie is a frequent speaker and author on issues related to IT in higher education, security, privacy, and emerging technologies She has previously been the Chief Information Technology Officer at Stevens Institute of Technology.
