ePoster: AV Technology at PCCC

The Media Services Dept. at Passaic County Community College has made improvements in the AV technology and support services for several areas of activity at the College. This e-Poster highlights the range of activities, and documents the specific improvements that are being made. In Classroom Technology, mobile cart design, style of specs for installations, PCCC's first Classroom AV Control Systems using Crestron, use of WallTalkers in Science Lab. In ITV, testing and full implementation of Polycom Visual Concert for high-resolution PowerPoint and document camera channel, Video VLAN for Quality of Service on network. In Video Production, publishing of Commencement on DVD, Video Yearbook for Panther Academy HS graduation, ESL class video production skits. In Theater, partial upgrade to ETC Source Fours, assess experience of this new technology. For TV Bulletin Board, use of ubiquitous PowerPoint to interface efficiently with campus departments and groups in creating TV Bulletin Board messages. In Cafeteria, new 7-screen TV wall information display.

Biography: Philip Falcone

Phil is the Manager of Audio Visual Services at Passaic County Community College facilitating installations and staffing and support for classroom technology, ITV, the College's Theater, video production and duplication, and the College's TV Bulletin Board. His four years in higher education were preceded by three decades as video editor and engineer in broadcast television.
