General Information for Exhibitors

NJEDge.Net

Now in its fifth year, NJEDge.Net, the non-profit consortium of the New Jersey President’s Council continues to enhance instruction, research and public service at New Jersey’s Colleges and Universities through its broadband statewide network.

One of the core network services is the NJEDge Video Portal, which is a large-scale, carrier class videoconferencing system capable of handling several hundred simultaneous videoconferences with multiple participating sites. The service is designed to facilitate and promote inter-institutional collaboration and the development of joint programs and initiatives among the higher education community and provides powerful new tools to remotely deliver academic course offerings as well as community based workforce development initiatives anywhere within the state.

The connection of NJEDge.Net into Internet2, the next generation Internet, was equally strategic in opening up opportunities for international videoconferencing and collaboration around the world. Collaboration with Internet2 member communities brings to New Jersey colleges and universities the opportunity to tap into remote expertise and experiences, increase opportunities for grant funding, as well as the ability to bring the world into the classroom.

Conference Location

The Harrison Conference and Hotel is in Plainsboro, New Jersey near Princeton. The facility features high technology exhibit space and meeting rooms, fine dining and superior accommodations in a relaxing setting. Wireless access is available throughout the conference center and wired access is available upon request.

Who Will Attend

The conference will be attended by 300+ decision makers from colleges and universities; K12 and other non profit NJEDge.Net members located throughout New Jersey. Those attending will include Administrative Vice Presidents, Provosts, Chief Information Officers, Head Librarians, network managers, deans, financial officers, technical leaders in video, data, and eLearning, and faculty.

Registration Fee

Exhibitors’ staff must register and pay the applicable fee if they intend to participate in breakfast, dinner and the evening banquet portion of the conference and attend any of the conference meetings and presentations. The preferred rate for the conference hotel includes access to the meetings and all meals.

Affiliates in good standing for the 2005-2006 year will receive a credit against their conference bill. ($7500 affiliates will receive a $750 credit, $3500 affiliates will receive a $300 credit.)
