End-to-End Network Security

Network and Corporate Security continue to merge and evolve as necessities in all industry areas including education. As well, asset protection is fast evolving as an all-encompassing effort within corporate environments, whether it relates to uptime for critical network applications such as IP Telephony and Video, or safe enclosure and trusted access of Financial Information and Personal Identity or low level user tracking and audit trail for network access. Cisco's Security Training will cover end-to-end security threat mitigation with demos on: DDoS Mitigation, Host Intrusion Prevention, Virus and Worm Identification and Remediation, User/Device Identity and Network Control and Virtual and Strong Secure Access. Cisco Security Expert Ted Slockbower will both present and demonstrate detailed security device configuration, operation and management.

Mini-Biography: Ted Slockbower

Ted has been a Systems Engineer with Cisco for over 8 years designing secure, availability networks. He has spent the last 2 years in an overlay capacity consulting with organizations on how to better secure their networks and applications.

Prior to working at Cisco, Ted worked at MasterCard International where he helped build their new data center in Purchase NY, facilitating their relocation to Purchase.

Ted holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Queens College of the City University of New York. Ha has also attained industry certifications including CISSP, CCNP, CCDP and CCSP.
