Project Governance at Princeton University: Prioritizing and Scheduling our IT Initiatives
Colin Currie
Biography Colin Currie is the Director of Administrative Information Services at Princeton University where he and his team have overall responsibility for the enterprise administrative computing infrastructure supporting the students, faculty, and staff of the University. Prior to joining Princeton, Colin spent 15 years in the consulting industry where he advised domestic and international organizations across a variety of industries on ERP, strategic direction setting, and best practices in administrative services. Colin is a frequent writer and speaker on topics relating to administrative computing, project governance, and emerging technologies. Over the last several years Princeton University has adopted and refined a collaborative process for identifying, structuring, prioritizing, and scheduling all of our enterprise systems projects. We have a three-tiered approach that engages functional users, process and policy owners, and senior executives to collaboratively agree on the enterprise system priorities for the University. The best part is, it works extremely well.
