Workshop One: Reaching the Y generation: Utilizing Podcasting in College Classes

Are you looking for methods to improve classroom time management and increase classroom discussion and collaboration without reducing course content? Finding a solution to this question can be challenging, especially when instructors have to recognize differentiating learning styles and technological competencies among today's college students. This pre-conference session will demonstrate how an assistant professor of counseling at Montclair State University used podcasting technology to address this challenge. This session will demonstrate how podcasting allowed for students to a have greater control over their learning as well as increase classroom collaboration and discussion time.

Participants attending this session will engage in hands-on activities, which will enable them to create and publish their own personal podcasts.
