NJEDge.Net, New Jersey’s Higher Education Network is a non-profit consortium of the Presidents’ Council that was created to enhance instruction, research and public service at the state’s colleges and universities through a broadband statewide network. One of the primary network services is the NJEDge Video Portal, which is a large scale videoconferencing system capable of delivering several hundred videoconferences with multiple participating sites. The service is designed to facilitate and promote collaboration and the development of joint educational programs and initiatives and provides powerful new tools to remotely deliver academic course offerings as well as community based workforce development initiatives anywhere within the state.
