Individual NJEDge.Net Members may have the need to establish additional
network links at corporate and other organizational for-profit or non-profit
sites for furthering collaborative efforts in instruction, research, public
service, or economic development. In this case, the collaboration is between
a single NJEDge.Net member institution and other entity. Typically this
might be the case of a Member offering courses at an extension site and
desiring NJEDge.Net connectivity at that site.
NJEDge.Net recognizes this situation as common among many institutions
and defines this relationship as one of a Sponsored Link between a single
Member and the sponsored site. We view this situation as similar to institutions
bringing connectivity to a branch campus; therefore, there is no special
network pricing for such links and they will simply be treated as additional
links for the sponsoring Member.
