Online Assessment - turn any web server into a survey, test, tutorial and assessment server

This software, originally developed at Purdue University has been released with the assistance of the University of Chicago's commercial development arm.

The software, Test Pilot, is in use at over 250 educational institutions in 12 countries. It is downloadable through the Internet at: http://www.clearLearning.com

It requires NO programming or knowledge of HTML. It's a great way to create and host online surveys in addition to tests. The Illinois State Board of Education is using it to serve sample standardized tests to student throughout their state.

Test Pilot supports:

  • fill-in-the-blank, essay, matching, multiple choice, check all that apply, true/false, and yes/no question types,
  • automatic scoring,
  • downloadable scores,
  • survey questions with automatic statistical analysis,
  • selectable point awards for each user response,

  • score-based branching to remedial or advanced material,
